Russell Skiba, Professor in Counseling and Educational Psychology at the University of Indiana and Director of The Equity Project, has testified before the U.S. Civil Rights Commission & Congress on issues of school discipline & school violence. He was a member and the lead author of the American Psychological Association's Task Force on Zero Tolerance. Skiba was awarded the Push for Excellence Award by the Rainbow Coalition/Operation PUSH for his work on African American disproportionality in school suspension.
Professor Skiba's lecture is entitled, "Race is Not Neutral: Understanding and Addressing Disproportionality in School Discipline."
