Participants in this course will become familiar with key purposes of language use within learning contexts.  Participants will explore how language learners use and process language through an assets-based orientation.  Participants will apply theory and research discussed in this course to their specific learning contexts, which may include early care and childhood settings, K-12 ESL and bilingual settings.
